In order to start a Facebook live video from a desktop PC, users just have to click on the 'Live video' option from the top of their News Feed. Following that, they have to add a description and choose the target audience. Facebook has also added a feature which makes it easier to use streaming software or external hardware, when going live from a computer. Until now, this was only limited to Pages.

Users will now be able to share their screens, insert graphics, switch cameras and use professional equipments for live videos. Along with this, they will also get the option for broadcasting to
Facebook Groups , Events, and the Pages they manage and follow. Moreover, gamers will be able to easily stream PC gameplay to their friends and followers.

Recently, a report surfaced online suggesting that Facebook is testing a new feature in its mobile app - Messenger like text bubbles in the comment threads.

The change was first spotted by The Next Web's Matt Navarra, who got a screenshot of a text bubble-filled comment thread from a Twitter follower. In the new comment thread UI, users will see their friends' names above the text reply bubble.

Currently, it seems that only a selected number of iOS users have received the update. The company is likely planning the feature to improve the overall user experience and make the comments more conversation-like.
NEW DELHI:Social networking giant Facebook has expanded its live video feature beyond smartphones. Users will now be able to start live videos directly from desktops and laptops.
